This year April 24th turned out to be a beautiful day for 15 DVC'ers to
bring their MG's out of winter hibernation and drive them to the Ripperts in
Perkiomenville for the DVC's annual Tech Session. Lots of things were going
on in the garage and driveway, while Tom was busy running up and down the
stairs, checking on donuts, coffee, hot dogs and Jaimee, who was sick in
bed. Tom "thinks" that the following may have happened at the Tech Session. Emie Feldgus put a Pertronix electronic ignition in his TD. Donna Bristol had help fine-tuning her newly rebuilt carburetors. Bob Tiley changed his oil and did a once-over on his TD. Bob Tiley and Roy Dougherty looked over Lester Weinraub's MGB to see if they saw anything out of the ordinary. Note: by the way, Lester certainly knows how to make a "hit" with the DVC - he opened the trunk to his MGB upon arrival and there was a case of "beer" in there. Way to go Lester! Tom Rippert solved the problem of his TD not running right - points - and then installed a Crane electronic ignition with the help of Dick Suffredini and Lin Hughes (actually Dick and Lin did all the work). Lots of activities were going on in the driveway and garage, so whoever we forgot to mention, we apologize. Thank you all for coming - it was an excellent turnout, and our neighbors were impressed with the "MG Iron" in the driveway. Tom says by next year he'll have a lift - Jaimee says NOT.
